  • Overall Performance & Applications: The following are just some of the various Fiberglass applications:
    • Fiberglass is a naturally sound-absorbent material that significantly reduces sound transmission in wall, ceiling, floor and HVAC assemblies.
    • Faced fiberglass pipe insulation provides cost-effective, clean, weather-resistant heat management for numerous applications.
    • Fiberglass board and batting provide effective and labor-efficient wall and ceiling insulation in residential, commercial and marine applications.
    • Fiberglass tapes find wide applications in wrapping vessels, hot pipelines, etc.
    • Fiberglass cloth is smooth and is available in variants like glass fiber yarns and glass filament yarns. It is widely used as a heat shield, in fire curtains, and other applications.
    • Fiberglass ropes are braided from glass fiber yarns and are used for packing purposes.
  • Physical Characteristics: Fiberglass has high mechanical strength, is a good electrical insulator, is non-combustible, and does not propagate flame or emit smoke. Dimensionally stable and non-rotting, it has low thermal conductivity.
  • Temperature Range: Maximum operating temperature is 1,000° F.
  • Environmentally Safe & Friendly: Fiberglass insulation has significant recycled content, with some batt, roll and loose-fill insulation products containing up to 80 percent recycled glass.
  • Fabricated Products: Fiberglass products come in loose-fill insulation, boards, batting, plain and faced pipe cover, fitting insulation, duct linings and wraps. DI has a significant portion of our business dedicated to the fabrication of metal building insulation. Silvercote, a Distribution International company, is an industry leader with this product.
  • Reduced Cost: Fiberglass insulation has a lower installed price than many other types of insulating materials. DI fabricated products eliminate in-field fabrication time and cost, allowing you to focus on installation.
  • Applications: Pipe Insulation, Fitting Insulation, Equipment, Acoustics, Mechanical, HVAC, Industrial, Residential, Commercial, and Metal Building Insulation.
